In the first days of free agency, the Buffalo Lebowskis show that they are going to throw some money around, giving 31 year-old closer especial Pat Yamamoto $10 million to finish games off for the next three years. Pat has saved 40 games twice in his career and posted 23 saves with a 2.31 era last season.
Shortly after, the Lebowskis secured their first basemen for the next season, signing 36 year old veteran Luther Marte for $6,000,000. The former MVP batted .306 last year with 15 home runs and 84 RBI. Buffalo is hoping Luther can return to his former self, adding some power to the lineup.
The Lebowskis have hinted that they aren't close to being finished in free agency. They are persistently shopping slugging DH Sarma Borland. More to come...

Curse you and stealing Luther Marte from me, I really thought I had him for a bargain there for awhile. I had him in season 1 and thought he'd love to come back and play for his former coach. Nope he went after the money! That said I don't think he can match his former production, I think you'll get something like last year out of him.
